Glory Wins, Abbott Named Series MVP

The Washington Glory defeated the Rockford Thunder 3-1 in Sunday's National Pro Fastpitch Championship game. This is only Washington's first year in the league as an expansion team and they are the champs! An expansion team taking the title is not something you see happen too often in football or in other "mainstream" pro sports for that matter.

Congratulations to the Washington Glory on a great season and congratulations to Monica Abbott for being named the series MVP. She may not have won an NCAA title this year, but she is now a NPF champion.
