What's your favorite softball bat?

Here's a poll that I sent out to my Fastpitch Members. Eventually, I'll have their responses to share with you, but if you're not a Fastpitch Member and you want to participate in the poll, simply respond to the following questions right here by clicking on the "comment" link below this post.

Here are the questions for this Softball Bat poll:

AllAboutFastpitch.com wants to know, if you could recommend just one bat to others which bat would it be and why?

Would your recommendation differ for 8u/10u players vs older players? If so, what would your recommendations be?

Is there any bat you just flat out don't like?

We all look forward to reading your comments!

Last season my daughter was swinging with the Catalyst and loved it!! She was 14 at the time as was using the 32/22oz. It was just right for her size. She got some good solid hits with this bat.

This year the team used the Easton Synergy. What a great bat!! We won provincials with this bat, 30 homeruns were hit, 13 from our team alone, all using the Synergy 33/23oz. We had the Shutt bat in the dugout, the coach just dropped $400 on it and none of the girls used it.

I wouldn't waste the money on expensive bats for younger girls. I say under $100, make sure you don't get a bat that is too heavy or too long. My theory is that if you have too choke up then the bat is too big. Too many girls make the mistake of swinging a big bat thinking they will get a big hit. NOT TRUE!! Wait until they are older to spend big bucks on a bat.

We have been always taught that the average girl should not swing a bat heavier than 23oz.

Without a doubt in my mind the best bat made right now is anything from Combat. The Virus and B1 both have tremendous pop. I love to hit, so I have hit just about everything out there and nothing out preforms a Combat. The Rocket Tech has a decent feel, but durability is just not there. I still really enjoy the Miken's and they are probably the only thing close in my opinion. What still baffles me is that no one is swinging a Combat. They are balanced and have a super smooth feel. They do need a 100 or so hits to really start making the ball jump.
